Dear JSSL Arsenal Parents and Players, 

Make Up Class – Sunday 29^th August 10.45am to 12.15pm

• At the beginning of the term we had to cancel a Sunday morning session due to the pitch being waterlogged. There have also been times during this term when parents have not attended class due to the weather even though the class was still on.
• If you have missed a class due to the weather, illness or holiday and have not yet taken a makeup class, then join us on Sunday 29^th August at 10.45am.
• Sunday’s make up session will consist of fun games and plenty of matches as many of the children would have been training from 9am to 10.30-am.

League Team Lists

Please check the JSSL Arsenal Information Board this weekend to find out which team your child will be playing in this season. We apologize in advance if we miss a player out by mistake. Any player that does not see themselves in a team list this weekend should approach either myself, Lawrence or Rina and we will make sure they are assigned to a team immediately.

If you have not paid your League Fee of S$250 then please see Rina this weekend to settle up. The one-time fee for playing in the JSSL Arsenal Leagues covers:- all tryout’s, friendly games, league matches, pitch rental, coaches, admin and FAS referees. Remember to bring your AMEX card.

There will be friendly matches on Sunday 5^th September for all teams.

Thursday Evening Session

• Thursday evening session from 6.30 to 8.30pm is open to ALL children. No problem if you are a little late.
• Parents and u16/u18 session from 7 – 9pm.
• Join us under the lights. S$25 paid on arrival. 

Tuesday Afternoons at Sports Planet East Coast

• Join us every Tuesday for the 4-6pm session at Sports Planet on the East Coast.
• Emphasis is on technique and skills with lots of shooting and matches.
• Join us next Tuesday. S$25 paid on arrival.

JSSL Arsenal League Teams Newsletter

Dear JSSL Arsenal Parents and Players,

Many thanks to everyone who turned up yesterday for the Final League Tryouts. We had over 350 students across the 4 age groups of u14’s, u12’s, u10’s and u8’s.

As mentioned previously all JSSL Arsenal children that have signed up and registered for the Leagues will be included in a team.

Premier Leagues

This year we are entering only 2 JSSL Arsenal teams into the Premier Leagues and have selected our PL players based on ability, commitment and dedication. The PL promises to be of an extremely high standard this year with one team entered from – Brazilian, ISA, Passion, Anza, GFA Japan, Cufa, Yangzhen, Shoot and First Kick Academy.

 Championship League

While our Championship Leagues will also be competitive the emphasis is very much on development and fun. Outside teams entered into the CL include Cufa, Shoot, First Kick Academy, Brazil and Anza. All players that have registered for the Leagues will be assigned to a league team for the Championship League.

 League Team Lists

We will circulate all League Team lists this weekend during class and will post the Team Lists on the JSSL Arsenal Information Board. We apologize in advance if we miss a player out by mistake. At the weekend we had at least 20 children turn up in each age group who had not previously registered. Any player that does not see themselves in a team list this weekend should approach either myself, Lawrence or Rina and we will make sure they are assigned to a team.

 Start of League Season – Championship League 26^th September

As we gear up for the CL which will start on 26^th September we will look to arrange friendly matches for all CL teams on the 5^th and 12^th September so please block these dates. Exact times will be sent out next week.

Championship League Games will be held on:

-          Sept 26^th

-          Oct 3^rd / 17^th

-          Nov 7^th / 21^st

-          Dec 5^th

U18’s League Team

Last season, for the first time JSSL Arsenal entered our u18’s team into the Equatorial League. The boys finished 2^nd in the League and gained promotion to the 1^st Division. Yesterday was the u18’s first match of the season which they won 3-0. Congratulations to our u18’s.

 Mid Week Training

Don’t forget to join us this week at our mid-week training sessions:

Tuesdays:       – 4pm -6pm – u8, u10, u12 – East Coast Sports Planet

Thursdays:

-          6.30pm – 8.30pm – u8’s, u10’s u12’s – Kallang Practice Track

-          7pm – 9pm for u14’s, u16’s & u18’s – Kallang Practice Track

This year JSSL Arsenal entered teams into the newly formed ISA Leagues which ran from last year to this May.  

• Our u10’s were undefeated all season winning all of their games, playing excellent football with 10 wins from 10 games.
• Our u12’s were also undefeated all season with 8 wins and 2 draws.

Both our u10’s and u12’s were crowned Champions of the ISA Leagues.

Congratulations to all our JSSL Arsenal players for representing the school so well in this league and for being crowned Champions.

Hong Kong Tournament

Congratulations To All JSSL Arsenal Teams

 Last weekend JSSL Arsenal sent 4 teams to compete in Hong Kong in the HK International Soccer 7’s. As expected the competition and standard was very high with 12 teams in each age group competing from across Asia.

 A big Congratulations to ALL our JSSL Arsenal teams who did us proud and played some extremely exciting and attractive football. And to our parents who made the trip such a great success.

Our u9’s, u10’s  and u11’s teams all made it to the finals of their age groups with the u9’s and u10’s losing in very close finals while our u12’s came in 3rd.  

However, our u11’s kept our JSSL Arsenal tournament winning streak alive, winning the u11 Cup after a penalty shootout. Check out the great save made by Mari to win the u11 Cup below.

Last weekend we entered u8, u10, u12 and u14 teams into the Anza Passion International Tournament in Singapore.

Our boys did a great job playing excellent attacking and exciting football with all our teams making it to the Cup Competition on Sunday. A big thank you to all the children who performed so well, to our very supporting and encouraging parents and finally ……………………

Congratulations to our u8’s who were undefeated the whole weekend and well deserved u8’s Champions !!!

Congratulations to all u8, u10 and u12 Premier League Players & Teams

 We have now completed our JSSL Arsenal Leagues and thanks to all the children (over 700) and parents for tehir active participation and involvement in the Leagues.

The standard and commitment this year from all teams has been fantastic with some exceptionally talented, committed and passionate young players on all teams.

A big thank you to all the parents for bringing the children twice a weekend for training and then league matches on Sundays, to Brazilian Soccer Schools, Shoot, Passion, Cufa, JSFC, Yangzhen and ACS Junior for joining the league and to all our JSSL Arsenal players for giving their very best every game.

Finally a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our u8, u10 and u12 Team Fabregas, this year’s u8, u10 and u12 Premier League Champions and to our u10 Championship League winners – Team Vela
